You will have a key role securing profitable raw materials for Boliden’s Zinc and Lead smelters, selling Zinc and Lead intermediate products and reaching the vision of Boliden Smelters: to be the industry leader in terms of green transition metals and profitability.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the Zinc/Lead Concentrates sourcing team.

• Create and execute the strategic Zinc/Lead Concentrates sourcing- and Zinc/Lead intermediate products sales plan that maximizes profitability long-term for the Boliden Smelters and Group.

• Creating of and follow-up on concentrate supply- and intermediates production budget.

• Explore the market for new raw materials, identify (new) opportunities and initiate development of our smelters’ capabilities by creating business cases.

• Explore the market for new outlets of the Zinc and Lead intermediates products.

• Build and maintain relationships with current and potential suppliers and customers.

• Negotiate short and long-term off-take and sales agreements.

• Execution of Business Partner Evaluation process within Boliden’s ESG policies.

• Stay up to date on market developments, including writing market reports.

• Protect the health and safety for self and others as well as the environment.

• Challenge and improve our processes and routines.

Qualifications

For this role we are looking for a person with strong analytical skills, who can grasp the meaning of plans, facilitates and conducts multifaceted, extended negotiations for the purchase of complex, high-value, multi-year contracts. As a person you need to be pro-active and cooperative to work well with others in cross-functional teams.

• A master’s degree in business administration, Economics and/or Engineering.

• Minimum ten years’ experience of a commercial role in the mining & metals industry. Preferably also technical experience in mining or smelting.

• Experience in contract reading and writing.

• Leadership skills to inspire and motivate your team and your colleagues at Boliden Commercial and the Smelters.

• Presentation skills.

• Strong social skills to create long-term relationships.

• Experience of understanding markets and its dynamics and create relevant strategies.

• Language skills: English. Other languages are a merit.
